The More I Love, the Safer WE are ...

In 8/2/25 post about dealing with limiting beliefs, specifically:

"I will lose the people I love. I will lose safety. It is so scary.  There is nothing I can do about this."

.. and where the new, empowering belief was:

".. THE MORE I LOVE

THE SAFER WE ARE."

At the time, I thought the message/belief was just that if I loved (loved ones/others) whole-heartedly, then the safer my loved ones will be. That holding back my love for them or being afraid of loving could not protect them or protect me from losing them.

That is what I thought the message/new belief meant. But apparently, it means more than that.  Last night I had (a) dream(s)...

I don't remember the specific details or the people in the dreams.  However before sleep, I did ask to dream and to remember. Specifically, I asked to "meet" my mentor (I was thinking of Lester) and to receive guidance - guidance on how to Believe more and How to let go of Doubts that were not serving me.

In my dream(s) last night, I am not sure I "saw" Lester per se ... and maybe that too is the point: that the specifics and details are not as important as the message/guidance from the dream.

One of them was to do with the belief above.

In that part of the dream, the person (which, as it turned out, was also me) was shutting down, slowly but definitely. The person (who I shall refer to me/I from now on for simplicity and truth) was afraid of being hurt.  And I felt that everyone could and probably would hurt me at some stage.  (Wasn't my mother a prime example of that?, so I thought.) And to prevent that, I slowly and wisely (I wrongly thought) started closing my empathy towards others, my caring and liking for others.  I started putting an arms length distance between me and everyone outside of me, both physically and emotionally. And when even that did not stop them from coming into my space/aura and disturbing my peace of mind and heart, I started enforcing a bigger physical distance in the real world; in all ways that I could. Till I became more or less a "recluse".  A happy one, I thought except for the times when I could not breathe deeply because it was too physically painful in my sternum and heart region - as if that area was rusted or rigid and breathing deeply felt painful.  Also those times when I literally felt I could not feel any caring, love, or compassion in my heart. (But of course, I could still feel rage, and anger, and frustration, and bitterness, and even self-pity.)

In the dream, the meaning was that person (me) was becoming ill and sick from all that shutting down. (Like what I have been medically going through recently.) And paradoxically, as I open up (my heart, my mind, my spirit, my energy centers) and let in joy and peace and goals and even allow others to know of my situation and accept their words/help/compassion/company ... paradoxically, as I start to feel more connected to myself and others and the world, I am healing.

And that message/new belief: "The more I love, the safer we are" now has an additional meaning.  Because it is not only that "they" are safer (in terms of my previous fears of losing them because something bad may happen to them) ... but that "they" are no longer a threat to me. More precisely, I no longer have to feel/see/perceive them as threats to my self.

So not only are they safer in the sense of their well-being but I perceive them as safe; no threat to me; that I am safe with them.  Hence that message/new belief that appeared on 8/2/25 that read:

"The more I love

the safer WE are."

is precisely correct (though I didn't see it then).  That we are ALL safer, in my mind and world,  when I love more.
