My new iPhone 16 is arriving today. I just realised that this is the first iPhone I ever bought myself. Well, with mom's help really.
I was remembering my very first iPhone. An iPhone2, used but very much appreciated. Sudha gave it to me. And I remember that mom was the first person I so very excitedly showed the phone to - with pride and OTT enthusiasm.
Then my second iphone was an iPhone6. A totally surprising present from Yim Seong and I had notification of it, sitting in a chair, waiting for the nurse to fit in my cannula (and not quite succeeding as the blood was squirting everywhere) ... that was my first day of chemo!!
And what a coincidence, I just realised.
Coincidences
- I recently asked Alex to transfer what is left of mom's inheritance to me back to me. And the money arrived pretty much just in time. (First, for Dr Joe Dispenza's Progressive Online Course, which was rather crucial in this period.)
- and now, my iphone6's Whatsapp literally won't let me get in without an update. But I can't update because the ios is too old and cannot be upgraded further. And the only constant link I have to family in Malaysia is Whatsapp. (Right now I am using the ipad which has to be verified by the phone! And on the ipad or desktop, the link to my whatsapp account drops occasionally. And a phone is needed to re-establish the link). So it is a coincidence and another opportune one that I have the money to get this new phone.
- Also, as I said, the very first person I enthused to about my first iPhone2 was mom. And now, I happen to be getting iPhone 16. That's like 14 grades up. And it was approximately 14 years ago when I got the iPhone2! And it is surely no mere happenstance that the money I needed to buy this new phone is literally mommy's money to me!!!!
THANK YOU, MOMMY!
I AM SO GRATEFUL, MOM. ❤️
Even after all these years that mommy has been gone from the physical, she is still giving us support.
