The angry man will defeat himself in battle as well as in life.

Homeless. Nice Face.

Homeless. Nice Face

Walking towards
Saw his face
Thought "nice face"

Walked pass
Realized homeless man
Still nice face

It's his eyes
I thought
Sad though
Eyes that have had
a thousand fires dampened and crushed
but now has found some measure of acceptance

Selfishness or A Right?

Selfishness or A Right?

Yesterday I had the great pleasure of attending a live seminar held by The Dog Whisperer, Cesar Milan. This was a sell out event. In fact, as far as I could tell (from checking out the tickets availability on line before the show), it was a sell-out through out the country (Australia) and not just Sydney alone.

Happy Monk

Happy Monk

(Excerpt from Gary Zukav's book "Soul to Soul")

A reporter once asked a monk from Tibet, "Why are you always so optimistic? Your country is occupied by a foreign army and you may never be able to see your family again."

"Because," said the monk, "it makes me feel good."

Right now, are you also choosing to feel good?

My Soul Needs To Be With You

My Soul Needs To Be With You

(This is a story that comes from Gary Zukav's book "Soul to Soul". I include it here because it is very touching and it can reach us on a level where the soul speaks directly.)

At one of the retreats that Gary and his wife holds and attends, he recounts the experience about a woman in the group who was having a very hard time.

Energy to Revitalize (solar plexus)

This is a simple and useful exercise in re-vitalizing yourself when tired or feeling strained.
  1. Lie down. Imagine a warm, pleasant sun in your solar plexus (stomach area or more specifically, area between your navel and bottom of sternum).
  2. Do this for a while and you will start feeling warm and relaxed. You may even notice your breathing slowing down.
  3. (optional) To bring a level of spirituality into this, remember again a time when you knew God (whatever you conceive him to be) existed.

Failure, Success, or Just Labels?

It is interesting to remember that in our early years of life, we maneuvers through an extensive trial and error obstacle course in learning how to walk and talk, eat, count, and take care of our personal hygiene. My golly, we even mastered a whole "foreign" language. Yet in that continuous error-learning process, we were truly "clever" enough not to have labeled those millions of attempts as "failures".

In fact, in those days, we were "smart" enough not to label them anything at all.

Energy by any other name

in
As you can read in article "UEF: Universal Life Energy", there is no just one term that is used consistently to label the field of study into energy. With the emerging and increasing research and study into energy by our modern day scientists, the terminology in fact has increased.

A Brief History of Reality

in

The "reality" of most people's world and their identity of self is based on an out-dated but once sound scientific concept. The most prevalent view is that we persist in seeing ourselves as solid objects despite the revolutionary scientific proofs in the latter years.

Meditation and Expanding of Consciousness

Barbara Ann Brennan in her book Hands of Light talks about how, when she was very young, she would go into the forest and sit quietly for hours, waiting for small animals to come to her. In those times, she would sit very still and try to blend into her surroundings.

Review: Eckhart Tolle seminar

in
I attended the 2 hour Eckhart Tolle in Sydney on 7th March, 2009. It has taken me a while before I could even put "pen to paper" about what I thought of it. Maybe because this review is going to be so different than the rave review I thought I would be writing. And really, I didn't want to dish someone who I truly believe is helping millions of people and whose message has found resonance in my heart.

Would I recommended attending one of his seminars if you had the chance to?
